This Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy explains payment options, order changes, subscription cancellations, and purchase limitations for products purchased through our website.

By placing an order with LoveLit Books & Bake, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Purchase Options

LoveLit Books & Bake offers several purchasing options, including:

  • One-time purchases of books, merchandise, and specialty products
  • Romance and fantasy subscription boxes
  • Limited edition book releases
  • Seasonal collections
  • Bakery products where permitted under South Carolina cottage food regulations

Available products, pricing, and purchasing options may change at any time.

2. Payment Options

Customers may complete purchases using available payment methods provided at checkout.

By submitting an order, you authorize LoveLit Books LLC and our payment processing providers to charge the payment method provided for:

  • Product purchases
  • Subscription charges
  • Applicable taxes
  • Shipping fees
  • Any additional approved charges

Customers are responsible for ensuring payment information remains accurate and current.

3. One-Time Purchase Cancellation Policy

Orders for books, merchandise, and other non-custom products may be canceled only if the cancellation request is received before the order has been processed or shipped.

Once an order has entered processing, been packaged, or shipped:

  • It cannot be canceled.
  • It may not be eligible for a refund or exchange unless the item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Customers should contact LoveLit as soon as possible if they need to request an order cancellation.

4. Subscription Cancellation Policy

LoveLit Books LLC subscription boxes are recurring purchases that require preparation, inventory planning, and product selection.

Customers may cancel future subscription renewals at any time through their account settings or by contacting LoveLit.

To avoid being charged for the next subscription cycle:

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted before the next billing date.
  • Cancellation after a billing charge has occurred will apply to future subscription periods only.

Once a subscription payment has been processed:

  • The order cannot be canceled.
  • Refunds will not be issued unless required by law or the product is defective.

5. Subscription Changes

Customers may request changes to subscription details, including:

  • Shipping address updates
  • Payment information updates
  • Subscription preferences

Changes must be submitted before the next scheduled billing or shipment date.

LoveLit cannot guarantee changes can be made after an order has entered processing.

6. Preorders and Limited Edition Products

Certain books, special editions, collectibles, and themed boxes may be offered as preorder or limited availability items.

By purchasing a preorder item:

  • Customers acknowledge that fulfillment dates may change due to publisher, supplier, or shipping delays.
  • Cancellation requests may not be accepted once inventory has been ordered or allocated.
  • Refund eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

7. Bakery Order Cancellation Policy

Because LoveLit Books & Bake bakery products are handmade, prepared specifically for customers, and may involve purchasing ingredients and supplies in advance:

  • Bakery orders may only be canceled within 24 hours of purchase unless otherwise stated.
  • Orders already in preparation cannot be canceled.
  • Custom orders may require additional cancellation restrictions.

If an order must be canceled due to circumstances on LoveLit’s behalf, customers will be contacted and appropriate arrangements will be made.

8. Custom and Personalized Products

Custom products, including personalized merchandise, specialty bakery orders, and unique designs, require preparation specifically for the customer.

Because of this:

  • Custom orders cannot be canceled once production has begun.
  • Changes must be requested as soon as possible.
  • Refunds are not available for customer preference changes after production begins.

9. Refund and Exchange Limitations

Due to the nature of our products:

  • Food products cannot be returned.
  • Opened subscription boxes cannot be returned.
  • Books and merchandise are only eligible for refunds or replacements if damaged, defective, or incorrectly fulfilled.

Customers should review product descriptions, ingredients, sizes, and subscription details before purchasing.

10. Failed Payments

If a subscription payment fails:

  • LoveLit Books LLC may attempt to process payment again.
  • Orders may be delayed until payment is successfully completed.
  • Subscription services may be paused or canceled due to unresolved payment issues.

Customers are responsible for maintaining valid payment information.

11. Promotional Offers and Discounts

Promotional codes, discounts, and special offers:

  • Must be applied at checkout unless otherwise stated.
  • Cannot be applied retroactively.
  • May have expiration dates or restrictions.
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash value.
